What is Web Hosting?

You've made it to our site, and to this page in particular, so you're already an active part in using a web hosting service. A very brief description of what web hosting is, would be to use the landlord/tenant analogy. A web host (like NEXCESS.NET) is simply a virtual land owner and we rent bits of this virtual real estate to clients with a website they'd like to put online.

It is important to note that simply providing the web hosting service (space for rent) is only part of what is needed to be "online". You will still need the actual website itself.
